Sony max has invested in, a lot, to telecast the cricket world cup 2007, the loss estimated to be a big sum. Heavy bettings resulted in people partly renouncing their wealth. Such is the commercial interest of the people who try to make out quick turnovers out of this so called “sport” which is attached with a sense of patriotism, in addition to which it has been commercialized, fuelled by people’s greed to become billionaires overnight. Advertisements are one of the commercial activities I am advocating my views with. The BCCI has announced a fee cut for the players for their underperformance like a five point something IIT student penalized. A million dollar question in here is “Is it that BCCI itself encouraging the cricketers to play for commercial purpose?”.
“Life is a game play it”. The tenor of this sentence is lost. Instead it has turn out to be " Life is a costly game buy it ", which may turn out to be obnoxious in all its kinds and hence should be avoided. Play the game to win but not for cash should be developed as the people's motto. Similarly, people should lead the life to win the hearts of people around them, by helping the needy and igniting a sense of happiness within, which cannot be obtained in the company of treasure thus keeping up the "sporting spirit".
